food intolerance headaches

I had a hysterectomy 9 years ago and immediately following the surgery Ibegan getting severe headaches from eating many kinds of foods that I had eaten all my life with no problems. I also have trouble tolerating many medications. No docter that I have asked has ever heard of this happening and I have been unable to find any information on this. Has anyone ever heard of this happening following a hysterectomy? It has made my life unbearable at times and I don't know what else I can do.

I am six years post op and am having many of the same issues. I don't necessarily get a headache but have developed many food allergies and a general intolerance to food. It is quite frustrating. When I eat, I swell and many times have terrible pain. I don't dare eat an egg or I will be on the floor writhing in pain.

I did have some problems before the hyst, but they were under control and I had been doing much better. It was about a year later that things started to spiral out of control.

I did see a gastrologist, in fact more than one, and did have all the usual tests. MRI's, CT Scans, Colonscopies, Endoscopies, Xrays, Small Bowel Series; to be sure that nothing else was going on. Most of the tests just showed minor problems or nothing at all.

I received the most help from an Osteopathic doctor. I was diagnosed with a raging case of Candida and the food allergies mentioned above. I continue to work with her and an accupuncturist trying to find some relief.

You're not alone my
