How could you have found #6 boring ? I found it fascinating, esp. the insights into "you-know-who's" family tree and life.

Moommab,
It is nice to know that someone else likes the wolf as much as I do. I always thought they got a bad reputation.

As for the book, I agree with you, I thought book six was ok, but liked the other five much better. And I think we did see the same interview. She was sitting on the floor with a ton of paperwork that were notes and such. I think the seventh book won't come out until 07 just to build up the suspense.

Everyone has something that piques their interests I see! The reason I wasn't as fascinated with book #6 is because it lacked the same rich detail as the first 5. I really enjoy the depth and detail of the classes and teachers. I've always enjoyed the scenes that take place in the classes. Although I found Lord V's beginning's to be interesting, not to mention Snape the Snake's, still, I would have liked to have seen more of the other teachers. I didn't really care for Slughorn. An old bore, but I bet all of us have met people like him. Still, I didn't hate the book, and I like the twist concerning Tonks. One of my favorite characters. Lupin is of course one of my others!

MoonMab --

I also like funky Tonks, too.

And I think we all have had a teacher like Slughorn (where does she get these names from! :-)

Hi!

I thoroughly enjoyed #6, much more than #'s 4 & 5. More up to the standards of #'s 1, 2 & 3. I cannot waiiiiiiit for #7, I'm hoping for it to be out in 06, but I bet that's when the paperback of #6 is out.

Interesting link, Marion. I think all of the theories are plausible. I'm rereading #5 again, to link things in with #6. BTW there must be a horcrux or something with where LV was hiding, as there were loads killed, esp the Ministry woman. Possibly more will be revealed in #7. I don't think Malfoy will turn out to be all bad either, as he didn't want to do his task all year.

I've just finished reading it and as per usual I just loved it. I thought the last few chapters were awesome....the part where it described the lake where DD and HP went to get the horcrux was amazing....I could see it as clear as day in my mind. I must admit I didn't expect what happened to DD in the end, but that's JK Rowling for you! No. 7 can't come out soon enough for me! I'm about to go through withdrawal symptoms for the next few days.

You know what that lake reminded me of? The lake where Bilbo Baggins first met Gollum in The Hobbit.

For sure! Now I'm trying to think of other nasty lakes in mythology and legend.

Of course in the Two Towers, Frodo nearly drowned in that lake full of the Dead before he reached the Dark Tower.
