caught by the pillow police!!!!

good morning ladies,

i got caught by the pillow police yesterday and the strange part is i didn't even realize that i had been caught until this morning!!!!

i went in for my 6 wk. post exam yesterday. i had a good exam. except for still dealing with continued bladder and bowel problems, my recovery is going great. after leaving the doctor's office i ran some errands. i went by my auto ins. office, to Wal-Mart to pick of a few things, to an auto parts store (get some things for my son's truck), and by my job to drop off my doctor's release form. i was out for a total of about 3 1/2 hrs. when i got home i made me a salad for lunch , posted on this site, and sat down to watch a little t.v. the next thing i knew my stepson was coming in from schoo. i went back to sleep. the next time i woke up it was almost an hour later and i was 20 minutes late picking my DD up from school. i had my stepson to pick her up and proceded to go back to sleep. i finally "woke up"about an hour later. a few hours later i was feeling kind of "blah" and decided to go lay down for just a little while. well this time when i woke up it was about 2 hours later and everyone in the house was a sleep.

it didn't occur to me until this morning that i had been "caught by the pillow police". i guess getting caught was my body's way of telling me that i am not as well as i thought i was. that my body is still healing and needs lots of rest. when i go back to work next week i will only be working half a day for the first week. i don't think my body can handle a full 8 hrs. yet.

i will spend much of today recovering from yesterday's outing. so ladies please listen to your doctors and your bodies and rest and just when you think you're tired of resting some more.

please take care of yourselves.....

big day out

Thanks for the warning. I'm 4 wks, and about the most I can handle for an 'outing' is about 1/2 hr. Much more than that and I'm alseep whether I like it or not. I just started walking on my treadmill, slow and level, and after 1/2 hour I'm tired. I had been thinking of 4 weeks as "a month", which to me sounds like a kind of long time. Now I guess I'll look at it as "a few weeks", which is probably more in perspective. I still can't handle the grocery store!
Good luck recovering from your big day.

caught by the pillow police!!!!

Thanks for issuing the warning to all the recovering princesses!

I went on a weekend trip to an out-of-town Renaissance Faire when I was 7 weeks, and boy, was THAT a huge mistake! I had been feeling so much better, I figured I could manage if I just walked around, sat down a lot, etc. WRONG! I completely exhausted myself, and ended up getting sick and VERY swollen!

Please remember that no matter how good you may feel, it takes longer than you want to admit to recover!
