Anyone had a da Vinci Hysterectomy/

I am having a Hysterectomy on Wednesday, August 17 using the da Vinci. Has anyone else had this done???

I'm not familiar with this...da vinci...is it the robotic surgerical arm?

Are you having a hysterectomy due to cancer concerns?

I have done a lot of research regarding this method of surgery. However, I have not actually talked to anyone who has had it done. It is performed with the use of 4 robotic arms!

New technology continues to improve surgical outcomes, but surgeons have no experience with the new methods until they've practiced on a few people. I would recommend asking how many surgeries your DR has performed using this method. And what is his rate of complications? Good luck this week.

Hi clcz we have one member who had her hyst robotically, and there was another one who was going to have hers done that way but hasn't posted since the surgery so we don't know how it turned out. Here's a link to a thread where they both posted:
