Yeast infection

Has anyone else been sufferring with yeast infections since the surgery. I had a TAH kept ovaries June 3rd and seems that I've had a yeast infection in one form or another ever since. At first the Doctor said it was BV and I was put on antibiotics, everything seemed to go back to normal after the antibiotics, then low and behold it came back but then I started having the "cottage cheese" like discharge too. I'm going back to the Doctor on Thursday and I think he's going to do a boric acid treatment. Please pray this works because I just want to be normal!!!
Thanks for listening.

Yeast infection

Hugs!! I have been battling yeast infections but not in the lower part of my body - in the upper part - thrush and esophogitis... I finished my third med for it... I was to take 1 pill every 3 days for it... a total of 10 pills... yeast infections are caused by a lack of good bacteria in your system. Sugar and anything with yeast in it will feed the infection. There are some natural remedies that will help as well Acidopholus from a health food store will help as will yogurt with cultures...

Yeast infection

I had yeast infections repeatedly post-op mostly due to intense antibiotics treatment pre-op. At 4 months post-op, after trying over the counter stuff, boric acid treatment, yogurt pills I went back to Dr and was prescribed Diflucan for 6 months + Fermalac vaginal capsules which contains Lactobacillus Acidophilus for 14 days. Well I'm 10 months post-op will take my last Diflucan next week and so far so good. A few tips: no bubble baths or in my case no baths even only showers, white cotton panties only, no perfumed soaps: I stick to Ivory, and watch your sugar intake including alcohol it makes it worst.

Take care,
