Saliva testing results???

I have been on vivelle dot patch 0.075 for about 4 months. 6 yrs post total hyst for stage 4 endo. Before that I was on 1 mg Estrace. I need some help with some numbers I got back for saliva testing. Alot of you gals seem really knowledgeable. I had three specimens, early a.m, every other day.
Estrone Estradiol Estriol Progesterone
1 . 12.6 . 5.45 . 57.5 . 286
2 . 28.0 . 15.76 . 89.7 . 768
3 . 13.6 . 8.13 . 56.8 . 218
Normal <9.0 . 3-12 . <27 . 50-325
I see in the preview it kinds of squishes these numbers. They are supposed to be in colums. The 1,2 and 3 are the 3 days and the hormones are at the top, reference range or normal at the bottom. Hope you can decipher them.
My testosterone measured 160, reference 15-88.
I also had my blood drawn for free Testosterone and it was 45 with the same reference range. If I remember right I did change my patch in between. I thought the levels would be more stable than this shows and I thought the saliva and blood testosterone would agree better. Eeeeks. What do you do? Deb

Saliva testing results???

I honestly wonder how acurate saliva testing is. I am beginning to think there are too many variables. I had saliva testing done recently and the results were well, interesting I was high in progesterone and in testosterone.

Do you supplement with progesterone in any form. Its interesting to see that the days the estrogen was higher is also the days the progesterone was higher as well.

Saliva testing results???

I don't supplement with anything else, progesterone or testosterone. Just can't figure why or how my body is converting the estradiol in the patch to so much progesterone and testosterone. Anybody know the conversions of the hormones? Deb

Saliva testing results???

Deb,
What does your doctor say about the results? I've always found it difficult to interpret the test results and have relied on my doctor and pharmacist to guide me.

Testing can be used as a tool if you're having problems but I don't think that testing should be the ultimate deciding factor in your hrt. Test ranges are usually very broad and we are all different, not everyone will feel the same in the same range. I may feel better on the low end of the range, while you may feel better on the high end.
