Add me to the list. I am working full-time from home proofreading hospital reports and attending school to pursue a Masters in Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Time for a career change!

Hey Theresa - good to have you on board

Welcome Ellen - I understand the need for a change - mine is monitary and I lost my contract at the end of June - so a good time to make the change for me... and I was a computer graphic designer for a while - I can't draw, but I can pull all the pieces together... I guess you are attending classes eh? I am doing all my work thru distance ed almost completely online... one of my rewards is hyster sisters

Hugs!

Support for all those going to school!!!

I would love to part of this group! I taught reading/English at a community college for 10 years in Arizona before moving to CA last year. I recently decided to retrain myself so that I no longer have to go back into the classroom (I've had enough!). Monday I will be starting my classes in computer business applications that will lead to an administrative assistant type certificate. I've come to realize that any place today requires computer expertise, and, hopefully, with these skills I can start a new career at the ripe old age of 50-something!!!

The certificate I have my eye on requires about 18 credits of various classes, most of which last 8 weeks. I'm registered for 3 classes that will take me to mid Ocotber, then another 3 that go til mid-December. I am anxious to begin and will certainly keep you posted. Thanks!!!

I'm not a student right now, but I think it would be great for all the students to have an actual sub-forum instead of just a thread.

When I win the lottery, I'm going to stop teaching and go back to school for nursing!! Could kick myself for not doing it the first time around!
