rectocele and cytocele repair question

slt..Thank You!!
You said it right...it was truley a blurr!! And the funny thing is a man took over my route , and I warned himat how difficult it was!! Well his reply was..."if you can do it I sure can"!!! Ok course after all I'm only a woman!! Guess what!! He couldnt do it!! The miserable boss I had came to me and asked me to come back...I just looked at him (really holding back what I wanted to say!!) and said Not on you life!! So he had to make some major adjustments to the route and took 5 accounts off from him so he could get it done!! Serves him right!!
I did have many concerns as I had said with the Provigil, but it really is amazing!! I didnt start takeing it until I went on vacation just to be on the safe side. I would take it at 6am and by 9pm I was getting tired and ready for bed. Before this drug I had all I could do to drive for 30 to 45 minutes at a time!! And forget just simply sitting down to watch TV or visit with someone...cause I'd fall asleep! Well I had started to take it on a Monday and by Friday I was confident enough to take a trip by car which took 6 hours to get there!! I had my boys with me so everyone in my family kept calling me on my cell phone makeing sure I was awake!! I promised them I would stop at the first sign of fatiege! Well my body was a mess by the time I got there but I was AWAKE!! Im sure you can get the picture of how life altering this could be!! It's like a new found freedom for me!! It sounds rediculous when I hear myself say that because I just turned 41...but it's soo true!! I know my kids are very happy about it!! You know its a major change when your 8 years old is saying "Wow Mom your still awake"!! So I feel I can consider this a victory of sorts!
And just being there...is comforting to me! Thank You soo much!! Netty

Netty
I just wanted to pop in and say how much I admire you! You are one heck of a woman! I am so glad you found the provigil and that it is really making a difference in your life.
I hope this new uro/gyn can help you. They specialize in pelvic floor problems, so hopefully he will come up with a plan to make you as good as new. That is what I prey for all of us.
Hang in there and keep us posted on your appt. outcomes.

provigil

Netty, did the Dr. having any problem giving you the
provigil, did he suggest it? I was wondering under what
circumstance they will prescribe it, I sure could use some. Did he have any concern about it's use? What was
it originally used for, do you know?

rectocele and cytocele repair question

Hey Peggy, How are you doing?? you've got an up and coming surgery youself!! I really hope this will end all this pain for you!! Unfortunatly we don't have any Uro/ Gyn localy! I'm going to see a Uro wednesday morning, and I'm going to see a surgen later that day for the rectocele. You know my history, and more than likely neither of them will touch me surgicaly anyway!! This will be my 2nd local Uro, and I've already been to 2 local GYN's who said they wouldnt touch me surgicaly, so the surgen I'm seeing is a general surgen. The only thing I think I can count on him for is removeing the cysts and planters warts for me. He is going to check out the rectocele but I'm sure once he heres my history...he'll be like all the rest!! Anyway...make sure you let us know how everything goes for you!! I can't wait to here good news from you!! Take Care....Netty

rectocele and cytocele repair question

slt...The indications for the drug are anti-narcoleptic agent used to improve wakefulness...obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea or in patients with shift work sleep disorder. 2 different Doctors tried to get me to take it. They had no problem perscribing to me. As I said ...I was the one reluctant to try it because of all the drug reactions I had started haveing!! I had been telling them that I was sooo scared that I was going to kill someone while on the road! A big part of my job is on the road...with a rather large truck!! But I also have sleep apnea and with the hours I work that didnt help matters any! I cant see where there would be a problem perscribing it for you...its not an anfedimin(sp)> I would certiantly ask. My guess would be if someone used this drug who didnt need it...they probably wouldnt be able to sleep? Just guessing on that. But if you suffer from chronic fatiege I would say its definetly worth a try!!! As I said ...It's changed my life!! Let me know if you Doc lets you try it!! Take care....Netty

hormones

Ossa, It looks like in your profile you still have your
ovaries, but have you thought of having your hormones
levels checked, these bio-identicals seem to really have helped me. Just a thought.

rectocele and cytocele repair question

slt...They did check my hormones when I was in the hospital this past November. I has a severe reaction to general anesthesia. I had went in for a simple cyst removed I was in the OR for 26 minutes...I ended up in ICU paralysed for 3 days!! This is why all the Doctors appts.and Neuro. wanting me to go for extensive testing...they said there are underling conditions that cause reactions like that. The Neuro says its a classic case of periodic paralysis but they need to know which kind or for sure thats what it is so they can treat it! All I know is my physical health has really been affected since that incident, any problems I had prior, are now 10 fold . And many new problems .rectocele and vault prolaps, within 3 weeks of this I herniated a disk in my back and last month had a MRI on my neck and have buldging disks!! Never had back problems before!! It's like my entire body is falling apart!!
I do have to have an abdominal and pelvic CT scan done also because I'm haveing alot of pain with my ovaries and lower back and left lower abs. My PCP said more than likely with everything I've had done it's probably adhesions or possaibly endo but because my immune system has started not working so well she wants me to have the scans done.
I will have to ask what my levels were at then, I did get all my records I'll have to go through them and see what they were. I'll let you know if I find them.....Netty
