A GREAT Idea for Gynecologic/Ovarian Awareness Month

It starts in three days you know. When I got my quarterly newsletter from National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, they suggestged spreading teal ribbons (or teal and white for cervical or peach for uterine) around the country. If you aren't talented at making, outlet stores have bows made up and ribbon inexpensively. They suggest this as a way to get recognition by asking family, friends, neighbors, work colleagues to disploay teal bows on doors, windows, and inside where they're visible. They suggest getting permission to put bows in public places as well. I'm going to do a few and see how far I can take this. Even if I do a total of five, that's five more than last year.

Added: I just had a thought. I'm going to get into my e-mail list and spread the word that way and ask friends and relatives around the US if they'd do the same. Easy and quick--and maybe a few more ribbons.

A GREAT Idea for Gynecologic/Ovarian Awareness Month

Hmm...interesting! I think I can convince five folks to display teal for the month of September!

Always thinking, Dear Ellen.

A GREAT Idea for Gynecologic/Ovarian Awareness Month

I will make teal ribbons, and ask if my co-workers will wear them. Being that I am a survivor, I should be able to talk them into this quite easily. Thanks for the great idea, and I hope when Sept. rolls around, there will be ribbons everywhere..............
