I think I have a prolapsed uterus...

I have been feeling a lot of pressure in my vaginal area. Also I have been having to urinate, like every second, but UTI test come out negative. My bowel movements have been slower, sometimes I think the bowel is sitting in my back for awhile. I eat plenty of fiber, but I started to add fiber supp. to my diet cause even when I go once a day they would come out large and short and I would get hemoroids. I also get an annoying dull pain in my lower ab. area. I checked that area with a mirror and there is a ball like thing, with a slit in it almost sticking out of my vagina (I am assuming it is my cervix). And my vaginal walls seem off, there is actually no visible opening to my vagina. It also looks like the wall near the intestines are hugging the ball thing. I have an appointment with a natural doctor. One I assume cannot do anything about it, but I am hopeing she can confirm or deny it. I do not have insurance. Figuring I will have to have surgery, I plan on getting some, but it will not start till October 1. It just seems like it is going to take really long. It is going to be hard to deal with and hard to work. And I want to get it done. How long from first day of diagnosis did it take for your surgery? Does a prolapse cause fatigue too, cause I have been fatigued too, especially after exercise?

I think I have a prolapsed uterus...

hello, My prolapse was noticable when my lower back started hurting, to the point where i couldnt straighten up or get out of bed very well. And excercizing made it worse. It was the ligament that supports the uterus then attatched to the sacrum that cause me the pain. Sex hurt sometimes and I was severly constipated. Be carefull with the fiber supplements sometimes they make you more constipated. I knew i had a rectocele 3 years ago. It was in february when my back started hurting, then went to the gyn in march who diagnosed it and said that i needed the hysterectomy. I didn't go thru with the surgery until july (by choice). I needed to build my sick leave and was going on our 10th anniversary cruise in june. The dr gave the ok to wait that long - but warned waiting could damage the bladder. But all was ok with that. but the degree prolapse went from a 1 to almost a 3 in that amount of time. Anyway hope this helps. good luck to you.

I think I have a prolapsed uterus...

I noticed my uterus was prolapsed while showering on a cruise in late April of this year. I was soooooo embarrassed and didn't even know what to say when I called to make a doctors appointment. When I went to the doctors, I was told that it is VERY common, so that made me feel a lot better. You should NOT be doing any exercising right now and especially do not do any heavy lifting. The more time you spend on your feet the worse it will drop. By about 5 pm every day I was pretty much sitting and not doing anything. Laying down with you legs elevated can also help. I had to wait 4 months to have my surgery and it drove me crazy. It wasn't painful, just very annoying. My surgery is over and I have been home for 3 days now and feeling much better not feeling something is going to fall out. Oh by the way..my doctor told me that it IS possible for it to fall all the way out so you need to be very careful. Good luck and I hope I was of some help to you.
