Warning - gross discharge (orange)

I'm 5 1/2 weeks out. I've had some bright orange discharge (very tiny spots) the last couple of days. I've read some posts about orange discharge. Did anyone get a reason for this from your Dr? I also had a small chunk of tissue come out today. Part of it was orange, part pink. There's no smell, no blood. Is this just extra tissue coming off due to the stitches disolving? I'm going to call my Dr tomorrow. I don't think that it's a serious thing to bother him today or go to the ER. I'm just curious as to what it may be and if anyone else has experienced this.

I wonder if you have orange sutures, do they even have orange sutures? If so that could explain the orange discharge. I had blue sutures and mine never dissolved, Dr. took them out at my 7 weeks p/o exam. Keep us posted, it would be interesting as to what your Dr. has to say about a orange discharge. Take care...Teresa

The sutures that I have seen were white. My guess is that a piece of loose tissue was stitched in there and the suture disolved. The orange could be that disinfectant that they clean you with. That was my husbands take on it as well. I'll let ya'll know what the dr says tomorrow. I've had no other discharge today except a very long stitch.
