A celebration!

You may all think this is kind of weird.

I was feeling a little depressed about the no more children thing - even though I wasn't having any more anyway - and I got some emotional treatment to help cope with the grief. This made me feel much better, but I still felt that I needed some closure.

So ....... I went and got a tatoo on my belly. A small heart with a cherub angel holding it. I felt it was a way to acknowledge my loss and move on without feeling guilty anymore.

It has done wonders for my feelings of grief. I have put something new where the old was removed. I can choose to share it with my friends or keep it private, as my clothes cover it.

I just wanted to celebrate this moment with you all. I love it so much.

A celebration!

I can relate to the no more children issue. Even though my youngest was 14 at the time of my surgery, I still felt depressed. I spend more time with my grandsons then I realized that I was lucky. I could sleep through the night, not mess with diapers, and more important, I didn't have the monthly problems my daughter-in-laws did. Whenever they would come over & ask if I had any supplies, I'd smile.

What really helped me was to look at what I had and realize that we are lucky to have certain people & things in our lives.

Thanks for the support girls. Some of my friends and family thought it a little strange.
