1 week post op PURPLE SPOTS!?!?!?!?! EEK

I am a little over 1 wk post op and have discovered purple rash spots (not itchy at all) looks like ink splats on the underside of my top left arm. Also seems to be starting under the right.

WHAT COULD THIS BE?? I called the dr and nurse said maybe its from where the bp cuff was if too tight. But she will call the dr and he will get back to me. I am freaking cause all I read is mennigitis but I don't feel sick. Just nervous now wondering what this could be.

I'm so sorry. I hope its harmless and perhaps just a skin irritation of some sort. Could it be the end effects of the anesthetic working its way out of your system? I wonder?

Please let us know what you find out. I am glad you called you doctor.

Doctor called and said it was probably from the BP cuffs being too tight. That sometimes it takes time to show....and also headaches are prob from the anesthesia wearing off and out of the body. I sure hope he's right.
