Bladder Spasms

Bladder spasms can be caused by many things. If you recently had a hysterectomy, that can often aggravate the bladder and cause it to spasm. If you have interstitial cystitis, that can cause it also. Another common cause can be having a UTI (urinary tract infection). **\ow long they last really depends on what's causing them. I am posting a link here from a holistic website that shows some of the different foods that can cause spasms if your bladder is sensitive.
This next site explains IC and tell some general things about bladder irritations.
I really do hope you find relief & treatment ASAP! Sending S.............

Bladder Spasms

Bladder spasms. Ouchie!! Have you called your doctor about them? There are medications you can take that will help..I took Ditropan XL, or Detrol LA is a very similar drug. They also have a new patch that isn't supposed to have as severe side effects.

Hope you feel well soon!

Bladder Spasms

I keep seeing bladder spasms on this board and wanted to know if that's what I'm feeling. I only feel it when sitting on the toilet but the pain is so intense! Then afterwards it just kind of feels irritated for a little while. Now I do have a fistula but it would appear that women without them are suffering the same thing. I had originally thought that I was just having this pain because of the catheter. So when you have the bladder spasms do you have them all day long or only in the bathroom?
