tvt post op question

I had my tvt and anterior repair last Monday. I have a question. my pad felt kind of wet today. It has a little light red discharge on it, which I know is normal. The thing that has me confused is it smelled like urine. Is this ok?It just kind of struck me as odd as this is the reason I had the surgery. I still have my cath. in. I go to see about getting it out tomorrow morning.

I had a cath for a week and sometimes it leaked around it, I guess when it got moved. I was freaked out, but the dr said that it was OK and not to worry. All's well, so I guess it was no big deal.

It would be worth it to mention it to your dr though in case it's something else.

Hopefully it will be removed tomorrow. I think I will only be seeing the nurse, but she should know about these things.I did notice a couple times when I was on the commode and unplugged the cath. to empty urine would also come out around it. I am thinking this is because the swelling is going down.
