Any suspense/ thriller reader's?

I have been reading some older books that my aunt had given to me while I am out recovering from the up-comming surgery soon. I have read a book by Barbara Erskine called House of echoes. It was really good, but now I am not sure what to read next. I haven't been into reading since highschool, so I am not really familiar with the author's. Does anyone have any good books to suggest? I like all kinds of mysteries, but especially ghosts and what not. I haven't tried any love stories but I don't know if I might like them. Any good suggestions? Thankyou.

Any suspense/ thriller reader's?

I just read a good one from our local library called Homebody. I can't remember the author now! Drat! But it was written by a man if that helps any. It's a ghost story, a love story, and a mystery. I hope you can find it to read. It's pretty good.

I have enjoyed the Alphabet series by Sue Grafton
A is for Alibi
B is for burgler
Barnes and Noble has a gret web site that contains reviews of every genre. NPR also has a book review web site.

Hi SweetButterfly,

My favorite author now is Janet Evanovich. The first book in her Stephanie Plum series is called One for the Money. Her books not only have mystery and suspense but humor and love as well.

Mary Higgins Clark is also a favorite of mine. She is very suspensful. If you are looking for a more light-hearted but fun mystery then Lilian Jackson Braun's cat series is great. I too like Sue Grafton. Patricia Cornwell is good but kind of scary.....Good luck! Please let me know if you like any of my recommendations.

Well, for a murder/suspense/thriller, I recently read and couldn't put down Mary Higgins-Clark's "Night Time is My Time" it was a good "Who did it?" book.

A good love story mixed with a tiny bit of suspense would be the Texas Trilogy by Sandra Brown (Texas! Chase, Texas! Lucky & Texas! Sage) also "Table For Five" (can't recall author) was really good and had some suspense in it.

I love suspense thrillers also, someone my sister got me hooked on was Tess Guiertesen,(not sure about the spelling of last name)
The Surgeon
Body Double-just finished it and I think it was one of the best ones
I can't remember all of them but she is good.

I'm working my way through the Michael Connolly series, with the maverick LAPD cop Harry Bosch, not exactly a ghost series, more like crime and thriller, but thoroughly enjoyable all the same!
Hope you find something to suit, Have you checked out Anne Rice?

If you like paranormal mysteries Kay Hooper's Paranormal Behaviorial Unit series is great. She has several paranormal series. One has books with the words "...of evil" in the title such as "Whisper of Evil" and "Sense of Evil". Then she has a series with the word "...Shadows" in the title such as "Out of the Shadows" and "Stealing Shadows" The third series has the word "...Fear" in the title such as "Hunting Fear" and her latest "Chill of Fear". She has earlier books too that are good.

New to friends w/o faces. I'm almost 6wks post-op...time to check out other stuff here!
I just finished a suspence/romance book last night called, "The Harbor" by Carla Neggers. The neat thing about it, is it's set at this time of the year, lots of talk about the beautiful leaves Maine. I did figure out the killer...but not till very close to the end. ll
