9/27 surgery and scared of the unknown

It's 1AM in the morning and I can't sleep. It's the first time that I've let my tears flow while the family is in bed. Surgery for complex cysts on my ovaries is coming up this Tuesday. I have been reading so much online that pertains to my ultrasound report and I'm scaring myself in thinking that I have cancer before I am even diagnosed. Don't have anyone to talk to about this. Hubby just doesn't have the comforting quality that I need. He says I am over reacting!! Well..sure I am. I wish I could just sit in a room full of women that know how I am feeling. I need to lean on someone!! I'm weary. Before I go to be I will read His Word and seek comfort in Him.

Patty.......First of all you are not overreacting..

My ultrasound pointed also to "the high probability of cancer"

I went lalala in my head when he told me, then went o my app't w/ my surgeon and never gave it a second thot.

! week later had the surgery, came home and saw dr. here w/in 2 days of coming home. He can't believe I 'v had the surgery, I doing so well.

Procedes to dicuss our cancer options and which hospitals I'd go to and how frequently, blahblahblah

I told my room-mate, my son and my sister who were all here.

Then went to bed and had a great sleep.

Phone rings, while I'm on the computer putzing around........it`s my dr. "Just wanted to call you and let you know that the pathology report came in and you are free and clear, no cancer. I was stunned and surprized by that. My sister broke down in tears and hugged me, but I think I already knew I didn't have it..........

What they saw initially to make them think this was cancer, is the endometriosis..Everywhere.....Guess it thrrough the reading off or something..They don't know until the see for themselves, so try not to panic....easier said than done !

Hope I've helped a little.

Talk soon.HUGS.Dianne p.s. notice I'm up too? hmmmmmmm? I rarely sleep anymore, the hormone hex is upon me.........

Awww Patty I wish I could sit next to you in a room right now too. The anxiety of surgery is a very real thing and you are definitely not alone. I had never had major surgery before and I was scared to death. Find someone to pray with you. My DH held my hand and said a prayer of comfort before I went in to surgery. God is so good and reacts when he is summond to our side. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you make this journey. Please, keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. You are among
