I really need my sisters right now.

Ladies, I don't know what is wrong with me, yesterday and today I have felt so bad and been so depressed. I thought I was finally on the up side of all this because Wed. and Thurs. I felt almost like my old self. Then Friday as my husband and I were packing to go out of town I began to have severe burning pain on my left side. I worte about this already but incase you missed that post my DH insisted on taking me to a walk in clinic since my gyn was closed. The dr. there said I have an incisional hernia and told me to follow up with gyn on Mon. So now, I am even more depressed and scared then ever. I know I was supposed to be taking it easy, but after my mom had to go back home I was left on my own to care for my 3 year old twins during the day and my 7 yr old after school until DH got home. My husband works 10+ hours a day I couldn't bear for him to have to come home and cook supper and clean house. So, I did it. I took it slow and tried really hard not to over do, but I guess I did to much. So now I am really worried that I have hurt myself. I am in so much pain right now. It feels almost as bad as it did right after the TAH. It feels like someone is digging right under my skin with a hot poker. It is almost unbearable and I swear if I hear my husband tell me I told you so one more time I am going to kill him. I really think right now I could plead hormonal and no jury would convict me!! I am just so stressed out. Now I have to go back to the gyn tomorrow and since we have no friends or family here I have to take my 3 yr olds with me. How much fun is that going to be. Can someone; anyone please tell me how in the heck I am supposed to take it easy and rest?!?!?!

I also feel like the hormone shot my gyn gave me the week after my surgery might be wearing off. How long do they last. My hot and cold flashes have started back and I am really being evil one second and crying the next. I am expecting pea soup to start flying anytime!!! And don't even get me started on these darn miagraines. I have had to use my miagraine meds everyday and a few days 2 times. I know that can't be good for me.

Well, thanks for allowing me to unload on all of you. You guys are the only thing that keeps me sain. I sure hope I can get an appointment with my gyn tomorrow, she and I have a lot of things to discuss. I will let you all know. Thanks again.

Oh CW, I don't have any kids at home so it was easy for me to take it easy and still I didn't. You can only do your best. Hang in there sis! The only thing I really can answer you about is the hormone shot. My dr. gave me one that lasts one month.
Best of luck, keep us posted.

CW, I'm so sorry you're going thru all this after thinking you were on the road to recovery. I had a TAH/BSO and had not had any hormones so I don't have any advise on that other than I hear from alot of other sisters that it sometimes takes alot of formulas to come up with one that works for you. You sound like you desperatly need some help at home. How about a neighborhood teenage girl looking for some after school work. She could take over with the kids and maybe do some housework for you while you rest. I can image what it's like haveing twins as I had my girls 15 months apart. I was alot younger then and even though I had C-sections, I know it does'nt compare to a hyst. I'm sure your gyn will sqeeze you in tomorrow since your in so much pain. I hope things improve for you soon.

I feel so sad that u r having a tough time. Can you afford to take the twins to daycare? How about even every other day? Do you have a church that you go to? Sometimes the ladies auxillary will pitch in. Maybe there is a mothers of preschoolers group of moms who would take turns taking the twins off your hands during the day.

Hi Crissy,

What time is your appointment tomorrow? I'm in Knoxville too, and though you don't know me, I'd like to help if I can. I've been on Hyster Sisters for a long, long time and everyone can vouch that I'm a "normal" person (well, okay, there is that chocoholic thing but otherwise normal! )

Anyway, I don't have to be at work until noon tomorrow, so if your appointment is in the morning, maybe I could come along and help with your twins. (I may also be able to help at other times too. I teach at our community college and have a very flexible schedule.)

Let me know, okay? You can e-mail me directly if you want, and I can give you my phone number.

Big s from a Knoxville sister,

Crissy: HUGS!!! I am sorry you are having a hard time. Right after surgery they put an Estradiol patch on me and on the last day before I was to change it I was a raving maniac. So I to wonder if the strength goes down as the day nears to change the patch or in your case have another injection. How long do the injectons last? My patch lasts 7 days. The "I told you so's" drive me nuts too...If I was close to you I would drive on over and help you out!! I have a hard time not doing stuff that needs to be done around the house myself. I see some laundry there and I get up and toss it in, take out the garbage. The pillow police are gonna come after us. Anyway Crissy, take some deep breaths and don't beat yourself up. We are all here for you and good luck at your doctors appointment tomorrow! I am sending good thoughts your way!

Chrissy, sorry you are going through such a tough time. If I was near by, I would be on your doorstep to help. Sending hugs your way and hope your Dr is able to ease the pain.
