Yes, taking it very easy. Easing back into activities slowly. I tire easily. Went to the doctor today and he released me to return to work in a week. I believe that will be fine.

Gentle s Sister! I'm so sorry I haven't checked in with you to see how you are and what is up with you! I ended up back at the Castle, myself....GALLBLADDER! Ick! I am SOOO very glad to hear that you had your BSO and that you are recovering and taking care of yourself! I hope you continue to gain strength and feel like yourself(only better!!)again soon! Take care, Sister!!!

Thanks Christy and Sweetie! I do have one spot under my lowest incision that seems to either be an undisolved stitch or an ingrown hair. Sore as a boil, as the saying goes. If it doesn't feel better tomorrow, will call the doc.

Christy, did you have you gallbladder removed? How are you?

Thank you, Marian

I did in fact have some suture material poking thru my incision, so I decided to take my own best advice and called the doc and he offered to clip the suture for me or I could do it at home. Since I am pretty good with tweezers and scissors, I opted sterilize a pair of scissors and tweezers and to snip it myself. Feels much better since being clipped and I am glad I called for permission.

Michelle,
Yes, I had my gallbladder removed....thank goodness, they were able to do it Lap., but I have 4 very (what I consider to be) large incisions. One of them seems to not be healing at all, and I finally get to see my surgeon for checkup tomorrow, thank goodness. I hope that your "boil" gets better!! I'm so glad that you were able to have your BSO, and not have to wait much longer!!! s Sister!

Christy:

Oh, sorry about the slow healing. I am lucky my 4 incisions, 2 of which are tiny, are healing nicely....excepting the stitch rejection ...another one came thru the belly button incision yesterday. But, much less ouch today. Actually feeling great!

Hope you are feeling great soon, too!!!

Thanks, Michelle! I'm glad to hear you're feeling better every day. I had my post op follow up today, and though I didn't get the thumbs up to resume most of my normal activites, that wasn't the worst part...I asked the Dr. what the GB was like, and he said that there were lots of stones, fluid, infection, etc...I said Oh, so it was really gross...he said I have sent it to the lab. Great, now I'm worried. I am sure that everything will be fine, but it's just kind of gotten me scared. I am SO happy that you are doing well, Michelle! Many s and keep in touch!
