July 28th surgery....HELP ME.....

It's been since July 28th I had a serious surgery. Three Doctors looked over 2 different Scat Scans and found out I had a Large Pelvic Mass from one side of me to the other. It was wrapped around my bladder (which I knew that from all the bathroom visits!!!). Anyway---the three Doctor's (including my GYN) did the surgery. They move my insides all over the ended up removing my Cervix (only thing left) BECAUSE the Mass was gone when they opened me. I STILL have sharp pains on my right side and wondering if that's normal?????
They're telling me---Lots of healing needs to take place. I don't remember my hyster that happened 5 years ago---feeling like this.. I started work and do computer work most of the day.
HELP
Thanks.

July 28th surgery....HELP ME.....

Cindy,

I'm so sorry to hear that you are still having problems this far out from your surgery! Have you been in touch with your doc's office? If the pain is impeding your life in any way, it is very important that you let them know! You have the right to be pain free!

As far as comparing the recovery time to your hyst - it's been my experience that every one of my surgeries was different then the others. And things that I would consider to be simple (in my world!!!) have taken me longer to get over than the more complicated things (like my hyst).

I guess the only thing I can offer to you - other than lot's of s - is a little advice - 1)take it easy and 2) give the doctor's office a call!

Please let us know how you are doing!
