I've had continual stabbing hot pain to the right of my navel since the hyst, guessed it was adhesions, put up with it.. docs weren't worried as the pain wasn't too bad.

Then the pain started getting more regular. Lately it's become alot worse and hurts in new places, especially when I eat, plus I feel sick and burp alot which I've never done before ... test last Friday said mass in the adnexal area, having a vag scan tomorrow of right ovary region.. plus small bowel obstruction.. seems the small bowel isn't showing up clearly.. so have to have a colonoscopy.

Hopefully it's not serious.. tho the doc said something is blocking half the small bowel : ( and the mass as well ... darn.

My hyst was a necessity and not fun, neither is getting over it, I think the troubles I have now are all related to the hyst.

Anxiety and depression to the max...hospital phobia... darn.

This is a long road : ( tho I'm still breathing : )

Blessings, happiness, healing and gentle hugs to all.

You have had a long and hard road. It always makes me sad when people do the hyst. and we all think that's going to be it! Feels like it's never going to end in the midst of it all.

We'll keep good thoughts that the dr's can easily fix this and you can be on your way to full healing!

Mysweet
I am sorry to hear you have all of this going on. Your hyst was shortly after mine. I had adenomyosis and fibroids and long terrible periods too. I thought the hyst would take care of everything. Luckily I don't have adhesions, but have had 2 prolapse surgeries and dealing with terrible bowel and bladder issues every since. We go through so much leading up to our hysts, that it just doesn't seem fair we have to face more medical problems that appear to be related.
I hope your treatment will be easy. I deal with the anxiety and hospital phobia too. I hope your dr. takes care of everything for you.
Let us know what the tests shows.
Good luck

Thank you all sooo much. Results today.. ovaries are ok : ) tho the mass must be in or attached to the bowel plus the bowel being partially blocked .. and it hurts when I eat, great way to lose weight. The doc is going to ask the hospital to see me. I pray it's not too long : ( I dislike this pain and eating like a sparrow.
Huugs to the dear lady with anxiety and hospital phobia too ... ohhh.
Seeing my counsellor and crying now ; ( as I live alone and feel so very alone, tho thanks to your lovely ladies I'm not toally alone. I do have a lovely partner who doesn't live with me.. he's been thru so much caring for me and now there's more.
Hopefully it may just be adhesions from the hyst and will be fixed easily.
Huuugs quick healing and kind thoughts to all.

I am glad your ovaries are ok. We need to keep them as long as possible. It is sad, but adhesions keep coming back from what I have read. After a hyst it is common for adhesions to attach to the bowels and cause the type of problems you seem to be having.
I hope it is a easy solution for you. Good luck at your appt.
I have spent so many weeks at home by myself these last 17 months too. I know what you mean by being lonely. My DH works all day and the boys are at school. This site has really kept me with good company.

Thank you kindly.. gall bladder perfect, I appreciate your suggestion tho : )
Thank you Peggy I used to see u here when I had my op.. and was having trouble too.
I pray it's just a simple adhesion : ) not bowel cancel (father had it) or Chrons or anything serious : ( they have no idea til they look inside : (
They say we can get endo of the bowels.. darn, had to have a hyst cause of em, so many possibilities.
Hugs and thank you for caring

PS for future reference the small bowel doesn't show up in a colonoscopy so that would be a waste of time, only the large bowel shows up.

Went to the colonoscopy doc today.. he says I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome and booked a colonoscopy for Monday week just to keep check on that area. He also said IF I have adhesions they wouldn't want to operate as it would cause more : ) I like that idea and my pain is gradually lessening... ahh
I'll keep you all posted.
Thank you for caring.
Hugs and happy healing
