Pray for me- back to Castle today...

Well, I did the phosphate/clear liquid diet yesterday. Of all the meds I have had to have every day of my life, I will have to say that is THE worst liquid I have ever had to down into my poor system in my life. And all evening and night was in terrible pain from diareah which I have already had since about a week after coming home from hyst in June. So it's not a happy time right now. Just MORE painful.
Today, I go back to Castle- but a different one in Indiana because that is where the Specialist is that my PCP and Surgeon sent me to- and it's a 45 min drive for DH to work in that city, get off early and come home to get me and go back to that same place to take me to outpatient surgery. They will do Colonoscopy this afternoon. They are confident they will find the problem but I will be surprised if they let me go home, as I am down to 109- another four pounds down over this weekend when they said that 113 was not good. I began at 124 and a week before my hyst, was so much in pain that I could not eat and weight in at surgery at 117. Went home at 114. Weight is not the big deal though- as much as the pain. They are thinking it is Crohn's Disease and if you look that up- it's not a pretty thing to read up on.
I am scared and nervous, but I know the power of prayer and that the Lord will watch over me just like always. So I thought I would ask.
Hopefully, I will be home tonight and happy with the result they find.
Got to hang on.

Pray for me- back to Castle today...

I want you to know I am praying for you today that they will find whatever it is that is causing you all this pain and the weight loss, and that the procedure will go well for you. You have suffered enough. I really hope this will be the beginning of the end for you.
If they can identify the problem it can be properly treated. Please let us know as soon as you can how it goes. Relax and try not to stress.
We're thinking of you today.

's, Rita

Hey Fireman's Woman,
Remember me? I'll certainly be praying for you.

Good luck Fireman's Woman!

Dear Fireman's Woman,
I just wanted you to know that I will be praying for you today that God will give you peace and comfort from His presence as you go through this procedure, that He will give special guidance and wisdom to all of the medical staff you encounter, that your body will be completely restored to health, and that God will reach down and touch you at your point of need that only He is uniquely aware of. I will pray for you each hour as my grandfather clock chimes. So keep an eye on the time. If you're feeling up to it, you can join with me in prayer on the hour. Let us know how it goes.

Pray for me- back to Castle today...

And you can be SURE both DH and I will be praying all day (but for the time I am out of it or not able to afterward).
The hardest part is that I have to pray for GOD'S WILL. Not mine- and that means no matter what the outcome will be.
From the first of this year, I wrote in my journal "I pray that You mold me to what YOU want me to be like, Lord. Change me as YOU want me to change."
Don't EVER pray that and take it lightly. Because God soon began changing things right away and I didn't see it coming. I am different and my life is different now. This year has been a DOOZY for God to have His way.
I know that He will make even the bad turn out for His will for me and my life and those around me.
I do know that all this has touched others because I would have never found all these wonderful women on here (and even one cousin and sister who joined this too- and the cousin recently also had her hyst and I was able to BE THERE for her and help her with support and prayer) that I would have never known had I not needed my hyst.
And DH thinks the hyst was NOT the bad thing that needed to be found. Since they think it brought on this- he thinks THIS is what God wanted us to find and the hyst was just part of what I needed to go through to get everything solved. Because it was not a choice and would have meant I might not be here next summer. So I lost THIS summer in order to have more summers in my life. It's been HARD, but I know somehow, it will help someone else too, as well as our own family.
And the funny part is- my "blessings bank" (a bank you add all your spare change- with a Thanks for each coin or bill- to that you find around the house and it goes to our church ladies who gather it and choose someone to donate it to every Thanksgiving as "Thank Banks")..... For the first time, it is COMPLETELY FULL this year- I have to put my overflow into another container. DH thinks I have just had more to be thankful for this year and I still have one month left to add to it. Even with all the pain and bad things this year.
God works in His ways that we don't understand.

Just wanted to let you know, too, that I've had the colonoscopy done twice and it's not that bad. Many people sleep through it. I get so keyed up I don't. Of course, each person is different.
I felt the prep for the colon scope was much worse than the actual scope.

Hope that the colonoscopy turns out okay and that you finally get some answers. Sometimes just finding an answer can give some relieve from stress and give a point to start at and get to. Prayers are with you.
