4 wks post op spotting

Just wanted to see if anyone has had this. I am 4 weeks post op and had vaginal bleeding for about 3 or 4 days after my surgery. I have had no vaginal drainage since until today. I am currently just kind of spotting now, I did just see it a couple hours ago. I did have a seroma and had drainage from my incision for almost 4 weeks. That finally stopped earlier this week, now this. Any thoughts?

4 wks post op spotting

I started having some spotting at 3-4 weeks. I called my doctor and he said it was normal spotting as long as it wasn't bright bleeding or a lot of bleeding. The stitches were starting to disolve and I was starting to move around more. He had me take it easy again for a couple of days, and my spotting stopped.
You might want to check with the doctor, just to be sure. Get some extra rest, with your feet up and see if that helps any.
Let us know how you're doing!
Take care!

I bled for 4 weeks after my hysterectomy. It wasn't bright red blood, just reddish pink in color. It is not serious. The doctor told me that was normal. Just be concerned if you are having to go through the sanitary pads and soaking pads. That is a cause for concern right away. Need to lie down and just keep your legs propped up. Rest is the key to recovery. Need to walk to build up scar tissue. Take care. Call the doc they are there to answer any questions you have.
