Hi Michelle. Do you still have ovaries? I can't believe you've lasted this long without noticing menopausal symptoms unless you still have ovaries.

Try not to worry. Once you get on HRT, you will feel better. I would take this time to review all of my options for HRT so you can make an informed decision when the time comes.

Michelle,
I'm sorry that you have been feeling so poorly. Hopefully the hormones will get you to feeling better. You can read more about menopause and hormones in the articles at www.hormonejungle.com

Dear Michelle H,
I looked up your public profile, and you said that you didn't know what sort of hysterectomy you had, or if they took your ovaries or not.....
I think you should start asking questions, ALOT OF THEM!!!
I had my hster at the age of 22, and the doc took out both ovaries, and didn't tell me! Neither did he tell me about surgical menopause...I had to find that one out on my own.
I am now nearly 37, and still trying to sort out my hormones, as it took my docs 3 years to figure out I was going through menopause!!!
You really need to ask your doc what surgery you have had, because if you have had your ovaries removed, you will be in full blown surgical menopause...
You have every right to ask as many questions about your own body as you like, speak up, I wish I had of...it would have caused me alot less pain and anguish.
My heart goes out to you, you are still so young, and it is a hard road to travel...(the hysterectomy/hormone jungle road!)
But you are not alone, this site is wonderful, there are sooo many women here, just waiting to help you, and support you in your times of need.
I wish you all the best, and if your doctor can't answer your questions...find one that will.
BIG S FOR YOU.
Love Radical. xxx
