October - Week 2

Hi Clubbers!

Hoping your October is going well!

Weigh in this morning was uneventful. Stayed the same!!

Not sure what is going to budge the scale on the downward motion! Been struggling since starting Weight Watchers online in August. Exercise has not been great as I am not motivated enough. I seem to stay the same and not gain when I omit exercise out of my plans. I seem to gain when I exercise! HATE THAT!

But, I will keep on keepin' on! No gains so that is a positive I guess.

Goals for this week...

Concentrate on portion control and getting more water in!

Hope to hear from other clubbers! What has been working for you this week? What has been your struggles?

October - Week 2

Good Morning, I am still with you and wish you luck this week. I am at 118 lbs. That is one lb up from my original goal. I eat what I want, but just do not go overboard in calories. It does not help me to say, for example, that I will not eat pizza. I order a small one, and eat it over two days. I eat steel cut oats for breakfast and drink nonfat milk. If I get hungry at night, I make pasta or eat some peanut butter. I am single so do not have to prepare set meals. I did not exercise. The house is packed, but the buyer has not gotten a mortgage yet. I am in limbo. Yet I have been sewing patchwork tops and figuring ways to avoid quilting. One I put on some decorator fabric and bound, and one I just put on that prequilted fabric, and I am going to sew buttons or yarn and just tie it on top of the stitching. That activity keeps me out of the kitchen.

October - Week 2

I am only down 1lb from my starting weight. I am now 169lbs. I really haven't done much to lose. This last weekend I was snacking a lot more than I usually do. I don't know what that was all about. I did some yardwork so I guess that counteracted the snacking since I stayed the same. I have been soooo tired lately and I don't know what is causing that either. good luck I gotta go.

October - Week 2

Hi everyone! October is going much better for me so far. I'm down 2 pounds from last week. Of course I started the week last week with the stomach flu so maybe that was it but I'll take it anyway. My goal this week is to walk at least 5 days for 30 minutes. I walked yesterday and today so that's a good start so far. My border collie is finally healed from hip surgery so now I have my walking buddy back. He is great incentive to get out there!

Sarah-muscle weighs more than fat so don't get discouraged if you gain slightly when you start to work out. Muscle also burns more calories than fat so it will balance out in the long run.

October - Week 2

Hi everyone,

I'm not doing great, but not bad either. Finally weighed in at 154, but still have a ways to go. Am keeping calories to 1200-1300 each day, and trying to make good food choices within those calories so I don't eat alot of junk. Still working out between 30-60 min each day. Got up to running almost 4 miles, but then had some asthma issues and got a sore belly from all the coughing. So now I'm not running but staying on the elliptical which is less jarring on the body. It has taken me about 4 weeks to lose 3 lbs, so I'm trying hard not to get discouraged. Perhaps losing it so slowly will help keep it off?! Hope so. I put on over 10 lbs since the beginning of summer when I had health issues and then had the hyst. Would like to lose that and then some. Thanks for keeping this going, as it means alot to me to have some accountability.
