Hi Woohoo, Seahorse here with the same surgery date.
Tomorrow is the day. I will get up @ 3:00am as I need to be at the castle @ 5:15am as I am supposed to shower again and use special soap on the abdomen area tonight and in the morning plus we have a 20 minute drive to castle and surgery is @ 7:15am.
I probably won't sleep very much tonight. My dr. did not
say anything about a liquid diet or enema, however I have eaten very little today - mostly drinking water and had some jello and chicken broth. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight. I will shower tonight before going to bed - also shave legs so they will look pretty wearing the tet hose stockings as well as boot type stocking to prevent blood clots the dr. ordered.
Good luck with your surgery and recovery and see you on the post-op side.

Hi 10/17 sisters. I'm as packed as I'm going to be except for the a.m. stuff. Don't have to be at the castle until 9. The house is as clean as it's going to get. I'll shave the stubbly in the morning. Who knows when it will get done again!

Happy thoughts and prayers for us all.

I don't have to do a bowel prep either. Thought that was strange but I specifically asked at the Dr. on Friday and she said no. Just nothing after midnight.

Hi stckhldr4kotex,

I'm glad I read your post. The blues were trying to set in for me. My date is 10/18. I have been doing really good at keeping the blues away. Then I read your post and I smacked the blues away. I love your spirit. We must keep happy thoughts.

Best wishes to all of us.

I work for a gastroenterologist and I speak to patients complaining about the bowel prep, so I am so glad that I do not have to do that prior to the surgery. The colon must be cleaned out prior to a colonoscopy procedure and no one can have any thing red in color as it shows in the colon. Just fyi for future reference.
