Calling all writers or writer wannabes!

Anyone who loves to write might be interested in this site www.nanowrimo.org - it means National Novel Writing Month, and it's held every November. Sign-ups are going on now, and you can join anytime, even in November. The goal is to write (not edit or revise, mind you - you can do that after November if you want to) 50,000 words. You don't even have to finish your story in that wordcount, just write at least 50,000 words in November. I did it last year for the first time, and it was a blast!! I'm looking forward to this year's NaNo so much! You can figure out your plotline, do character sketches, jot down notes about scenes, etc. You just can't write the thing from start to finish before November.

Anyone interested? If any princesses are in bed or on the couch recovering from surgery, using a laptop for the NaNo could be a fun way to pass the time.

Happy writing!

~Sue

There's always next year! And the nice thing about it is that you can think ahead all throughout the year, unless you want to just jump in with no plot, etc. Some do.

Does it have to be straight fiction or can it be a genre?

Anything as long as it's fiction. For example, I write inspirational/Christian romances, but there are all kinds of genres represented. I really enjoyed the process of Nanoing (if that's a word! LOL!).
