14 weeks post op -- one month post radiation

Dear Sisters

Just a quick update -- I was 14 weeks post op on Wednesday and tomorrow will be one month post internal radiation. I have been truly blessed with the fact that I have had only minimal issues since the surgery. And am feeling really pretty good -- I started back my weight training last week and aside from stiff muscles there have been no surprises. Monday I see the oncologist for a follow up.

Thank you for all your prayers and support -- each of you has made this journey much easier.

Dear Mary Jane,
I am so glad that you are doing well. It looks like you and I had our surgeries and radiation about the same time. We are even the same age! I am feeling better each and every day, though there are many nights that I am in my pjs and in bed by 7:30 ( not necessarily to sleep, but read, watch tv - but fall asleep doing those things). I just get tired and am battling some adverse effects of the radiation. But all in all, I am doing great. I am glad that you are as well! I think that I need to start some weight training also. I have lost quite a bit of weight since this whole thing started and have definitely lost muscle. I think that I will check into doing some weight training. I am glad that you are able to handle it.
