Cool - October - Wrap Up October - Wrap Up

Happy Halloween to everyone!

Weighed in this morning to wrap up October and stayed the same!!!!!

I know how you all feel with regards to being STUCK!
I guess it is a matter of shaking things up a bit. Either increasing the exercise (or better yet...STARTING TO EXERCISE!), or cutting back on a few things. Either smaller portions or cutting out some unhealthier things.

So, my goal for the first week of November is to get some exercise in (two-three times) and I am going to fill my lunch and dinner plates with 1/2 veggies and the rest protein. We'll see how that goes. Goal for the month is to lose 3 lbs. PLEEEEZE!!

Good luck with the halloween candy. I have told my kids to hide their stashes!

What are your goals for this coming week and maybe a goal for the month?

Shake something up this month girls! You can do it!

Hugs,
Sarah

Talking - October - Wrap Up October - Wrap Up

Dear Sarah,
Thanks for keeping up our forum. I really appreciate it. I moved into the city and have to walk more in general. Parking is at a premium. So is space in my place. My weight is the same, and considering I have been eating out all meals, that is good. I will be looking for a gym; however, the costs are probably prohibitive. I will have to clear some space to set up my home gym with dvd, weights, mat, ankle weights, stretch bands. Those ads on TV look so enticing, but the machines probably are made so cheaply as to be dangerous. I run across the streets now so as not to get hit. The signs say walk, but cars are turning at full speed through the crosswalk. So I have no weight goal other than to maintain or lose a pound or two. My exercise goal is to work my upper body and abs. My eating goal is to get back to green foods and mainly grains and fresh produce.

October - Wrap Up

Yikes! I am stuck too. I have to say though I haven't been able to do much to lose. Well except eating to many snacks. I don't know what that is about I think I used to be able to avoid those. I saw an article in a mag that may be able to help there. If I find any helpful info I will pass it on. As far as exercise I have been taking a 75 minute yoga class once a week and I love it. I would like to add walking. They are reconstructing the road in front of our house which makes it difficult to get out and walk but I think they are almost done. I am going to try to get my DD to start doing some workouts with small weights with me.
My birthday is Friday. I am going to be 50! DH and I are going to get away for the weekend (yea!) and I want to do some hiking. I had wanted to lose 20 lbs by now but I have only lost 2. My new goal is to lose 20 by Feb 6. my next annual exam. Right now I am at 169 + or minus 2. Help!
