Hi Heidi,

Good for you. I was very nervous as well but looking back, having the surgery was the easy part. It is a huge weight lifted off your shoulder immediately when you wake up in recovery and know that everything went well. Then the real work comes . . . recovery. It is hard to take it easy and not want to get up and help out. With Thanksgiving coming up just remember to let others do the work and get your rest.

Good for you for taking that appt! Just concentrate on doing the bare necessities before you go in... rest, maybe straighten up your *recovery zone*, clean sheets, dig out some comfy loose clothes, get your bag packed, and if you have time for anything else, think about making a grocery list of things you will want to have when you come home- my tastes were way off, but I craved canned peaches and pears, peppermint tea, crackers, etc. Lots of fluids!

best wishes.

Just think your closer to feeling better. Get your rest this weekend. Try not to over do it, trying to get everything perfect before the surgery. Just concentrate on the things you will need when you get home. Let your DH and kids help.

Good luck!

Heidi,
My hyst is being done in Albuquerque,NM. I am doing laundry like crazy. I scrubbed my kitchen and bathrooms from top to bottom. I am running out of things to scrub. But, I have 2 kids under 5...so I am sure they will give me something to scrub soon...a wall, another floor, carpet...Do you have anyone coming to help you at home? I am glad my mom is coming down to help me out. She had her hyst at 35...so she knows what i'm in for. I agree with you, at least we don't have to wait much longer...because, I think the waiting is worse than the surgery!!! tick tick tick tick COUNTDOWN
