vagina feeling very "raw"???

Here's some information about vaginal dryness that may have some info to help Vaginal Dryness Are you having any other symptoms? Vaginal dryness can be a sign of a hormonal imbalance.

If it continues I would suggest that you call your doctor.

vagina feeling very "raw"???

My tvt and anterior repair was 2 months ago.My rectocele/enterocele surgery was 9 months ago. I have been dealing with dryness and irritation since shortly after my hyst 1 1/2 years ago.Since I've had the 2 seperate vaginal surgeries my insides are pretty thin and messy looking. My Gyn put me on Estrace cream a month ago. I used 1 gram every night for 2 weeks, then just 1 gram twice a week. It seems to be helping with the drynes issue. I have nerve problems down there, so I am hoping the Estrace helps to firm everything up down there. I just started HRT (Estratest)Monday. I can't stand the hot flashes and other symptoms I am having associated with menopause. So far, so good. No side effects.
Keep checking the net. There is alot of good info avaliable to us.

vagina feeling very "raw"???

I'm not sure exactly what I am feeling, but know that it just isn't right and I am experiencing slight pain and irritation. It gets better and then returns. I had surgery for prolapse in June and ever since then I have been plagued with vaginal infections/uti's etc. I just went this past Tuesday for another urine test to see what is causing me problems again. I am on vagifem, but it doesn't seem to be able to control the situation for very long. I stay irritated and yes, the feeling of being "raw". I so want to feel normal again. Most people don't understand this situation, so it is so good to be able to "talk" to others on this board who do!

What is your vagifem dosage? I used it a lot more frequently the first couple of weeks (Dr's orders) and then reduced to twice weekly. Now I don't even seem to need it that often.

Also, I was having yeast in my bladder (is your doc testing for that?) before the vagifem.

vagina feeling very "raw"???

Michelle: I take Vagifem 25mcg 2-3 times per week, but just recently had testing done at a compounding pharmacy to start me on bio-identical hormones. I hope they help because this is an awful feeling and stays on my mind constantly. My last urine test came back negative, but something is definitely going on down there!!!
