blood in my urine?

Hi, I'm one week and two days post op. I had a miraculous recovery and felt great until yesterday. . . I was extremely tired all day, didn't even get to the sitting around and watching TV activity - just laid around all day. Later in the day I noticed my urine has a definate red tinge to it, and still is today. I'm going to my gp this morning, but would like to know that the pros here know about this.

blood in my urine?

HI sapphira,
That's a sign of a bladder infection. You don't mention any other signs other than feeling sluggish, which is interesting. Usually when you have a uti you are pretty uncomfortable, feeling the urgent need to empty your bladder. Let us know what the dr finds. Hope you feel better soon.

answering my own question

The dr's office was wonderful, put me through first, even though I didn't have an appointment. It is blood in my urine, and after effect of the catheter. I had some feelings of urgency yesterday, some times where not much came out, but what the heck, I lived like that for months before the surgery! So now I'm on antibtiotics for three days. The Dr. says I have an amazing recovery, she told me that Tuesday also when she removed the staples.
