return at 9 wks

I have just been to see my dr at the six weeks. Upon doing a check of my vaginal area I was asked to return in 3 weeks. It seems that the stitches may not be healing as fast as I thought. Dr mentioned that I should see some passage of stitches. Seems there is a clump of something and that prevented him from seeing what he needed to see. I have also noticed that my stomach is getting more swollen. It was beginning to flatten at four weeks but now it is swollen. I feel quite good though. Any thoughts?

As long as you are feeling well, I don't think a re-check in three weeks is anything to be really concerned about. Every person heals at a different rate...there are so many factors.

You may just be going at a slower rate, which might be normal for you! I haven't seen any stitches either, but I know many sisters report those little "spiders in the toilet". Just listen to your body, and follow doctor's orders, and you will be ok. It's frustrating to hear this stuff, but I guess it's all part of the process.
