Pain and bloating 6years post op Need Suggestions and Help

Hi Ladies,

My Uterus was removed in December of 2000 due to a tumor, and five miscarriages, two D&C's, Laparscopy,C-Section Deliver and a partridge in a pear tree.LOL

Than in Feb of 2001 my ovaries and tubes removed with extensive scar tissue and Endometeriosis I was 25 at the time.
I started having bloating, cramping and pain on my right and left side where overies had been one Doc I went to said I had a cyst in a pocket of fluid didn't think that was possible we moved to Texas and I haven't found a Gyn Doc since 2003.

I have had colonoscopies done to check bowels all that stuff I haven't ever taken HRT what is it? Do I need it.

Long story short I have had a Cat Scan of my right side last week in E.R. because it hurts so badly I almost passed out when touching my side above my pelvic bone Doc said maybe scar tissue but not my appendix I have heard I can still get endometeriosis is that fact or fiction and can you get ovarian cancer as well I read that years ago?
Anyhow I'm assuming my orginal doc removed what he was supposed to and assuming the tumor wasn't cancerous he called it a tumor but before removing it I had the option of trying to get pregnant because they usually shrink during pregnancy but due to having so many miscarriages he couldn't guarantee me I would lose the pregnancy so I said enough was enough. He was apprehensive because I was 25 at the time and he hadn't done surgery on a woman so young .

I am going to a gynocologist next Thursday December 15th so what should I ask should I ask for an ultrasound what do I need to seek while at the doctors. I'm in severe pain and bloating it's coming and going so I don't know I know nothing about any side problems from surgery also my pelvis hurts badly a lot when walking what is that?

I need all the help I can get I wasn't much informed my fault at the time I was young and had a baby and toddler and was very ill before my surgies I just wanted it to be done and not be suffering and unfortunately it
isn't the case.

Thanks and Blessings

hi

Hi, I basically have the same thing, except mine has been there since my TAH/BSO 2 years ago. I noticed tight jeans and sitting for long periods make it worse. I also had a CT scan, which showed nothing, but I had a vaginal ultrasound last week which showed (or he could just tell) that I have severe dense scar tissue around the vaginal cuff, where the uterus was removed and sewn shut. I have appt with both a uro & gi guy for the first week of Jan. to rule out anything else. Then, unfortunetly, the only way to tell if it is adhesions causing this pain is with a laporoscopy, which started my problems first. I suggest that you get a copy of the ct scan you just had done, and get those records from the dr who did your original surgery (this can take time, and with an appt on the 15th, call them and ask to fax it). The more info your new dr has, the better he can help you. Good Luck, and keep us informed.
