what to get darling loving hubby?

DH got some kind of cool fishing reel for Father's Day from his DS in college... so it must not be too pricey. I'll ask him about it when he gets back from getting groceries.

AAAARRRGGGHHHH! Sounds like my Grandpa. My sis totally blew our minds one year & got him kitchen towels (he lived alone)... and he loved them. All the rest of the family had been "bombing" on gifts for years. (He kept them neatly in their packaging in a spare bedroom.) This won't work for us though. Back to the old drawing board.

when I first thought that I knew what he had got me I asked him what he wanted? He told me that he was the easiest person to buy for. I don't know what planet he lives on in his own little world but it ain't this one!

DH says maybe shop for his inner child... or something he wanted as a kid but didn't get. Says guys love anything with a remote... cars, boats and stuff. (Maybe he will even share with kids! LOL) Also things that blow up, like model rockets. I have some guy friends (and DH as well) who LOVE those indoor/outdoor temp. guages. You can get them at Radio Shack...probably other places. One wire goes outside and one inside--displays indoor & outdoor temp, some have humidity as well. Much cheaper than I thought they'd be--about $20-30. Men are so funny.

I would love to get him a bunch of toys for the dog. Things like they could use outside together during camping. Like the ball and the launcher. But I don't want to be lame about it.

Please do not think that I think that you are lame. You guys are the best for trying to help me. I must seem likeI have not clue. I really do know dh, but I want to knock his socks off with this gift. I just hope that this isn't like the year I was having problems and he bought me a teddy! I hated him for that one.

I know what you mean. Those telescope lenses are about $400 and he would be SO tickled...I've been hearing about them for months... but check book is laughing at that idea. Laughing HARD.

what to get darling loving hubby?

Hi ladies
How about a remote car starter?
floor mats? Car seat covers?
Hood scoop?

My DH loves woodworking (mostly hand carving and building) so I opt for the easy way out and give him the Lee Valley Gift Catalogue and $200. That way, he can go shopping, after Christmas, and get his own toys.
I did buy him a little remote control car today at the Source for $30. Something to torment the dog with....

Penguin2005,

Is there anyone who could watch your DD's for an overnight that way you and DH could have some alone time? That doesn't cost a lot of $$ and the privacy issue wouldn't be, well, an issue. We don't have a lot of $$ either (especially since I just quit my part-time job) and this year I'm just doing stocking stuffers for DH. I think I'm going to get some for the local ice cream parlor because he loves to take DS there. Other than that I'm stuffing it with his favorite candy, a book he mentioned a while ago, and various toletries that I picked up on sale. Good luck! Merry Christmas!
