I'm having a blue day

I woke up feeling awful and the day hasn't gotten any better. I'm in pain and miserable. I keep telling myself that my trip to the castle will be soon.

Yes, the hardest part is the waiting.

This board does make things easier. It's my special place to come for some understanding, sympathetic ears (or should I say eyes). Thank you ladies for this wonderful board!

I'm having a blue day

There is no doubt that waiting is stressful. No matter how much you read and feel you understand, you just don't know how *you* are going to feel after.

It is an anxious time - and being able to share and find others who are waiting like you are really does help -- I remember it well.

Try not to dwell on it, and do your best to focus on having fun and getting through the holidays happily.

best wishes,

I think I understand how you feel. The waiting is the pits. Sometimes my activities are good distractors, sometimes they aren't. Particularly, like you said, when you aren't feeling well, it's tough to NOT think about the surgery. Right now, I'm PMS'ing and I think I'm going to start bleeding again before my surgery, so I'm uncomfortable like you are.

Hang in there. I just keep thinking that the end is in sight. I'm hopeful that once this surgery and recovery is done, and then I get my knee fixed (I have torn cartilage in my right knee and they won't do the surgeries at the same time), my life will be pain-free for the first time in I can't remember how long. I am looking forward to having energy again, and I hope this is going to do that for me. I hope this helps.

I never thought my surgery date would come and here I am back from the castle typing on my computer! I got through it with this web site, some freinds and relatives that have had it done. Just get organized and keep thinking about the pampering you will get afterwards! Keep your chins up preop ladies! Patty

I'm having a blue day

I had alot of anxiety, when the date was set. Was I jumping the gun in going ahead with surgery, so on and so forth. The closer the days got to the date, and I really paid attention to my body, I realized that I was doing the right thing.
I have had a wonderful support system from family to co-workers.
When the pathology came back, it reaffirmed to me that I truly had made the right one.
Hang in there and take it one day at a time.
