Bladder Infection

Hello to all!!!!! My surgery is in 4 weeks and thank goodness I went to the doctors this morning.....I have a bladder infection......I thought I did, but sometimes it is hard to tell with endometriosis, I have the endo. on my bladder wall and sometimes it is hard to tell if that is the problem or if I have an infection.......I am soooo glad I didn't wait til the last minute, cuz I think they would have post-poned my surgery, wouldn't they???

I guess no one wants to touch this one!!!! He-He!!!!!
Does anyone know if they would postpone surgery for an infection like that????? Thanks a million!!!!

I'm sorry you have to deal with a bladder infection at this time. Hopefully 4 weeks is enough time to get it under control, and it won't be an issue. If you are still concerned about what your Dr may do, you should call him/her and ask.

Barb I know what you mean about not knowing whether you have an infection or not. I have a 5" endometrioma on my right ovary that is pushing into my bladder (and that's what we know of). I am glad you found out early. I doubt they would cancel surgery unless you were running a high temp.

I had a UTI about four weeks before my surgery and then again two weeks after my surgery. Luckily antibiotics got rid of both of them... and I have not had any problems since. GOOD LUCK! And please keep us posted!
