I don't have any answers for you on that one, but I just wanted to say best wishes and you will be in my prayers, the waiting is the hardest part I think (so far anyways)

Stitches after LAVH?

Yes I had stitiches, 1 tiny tape in my belly button, 2 down below and my cervix is stitched up from where they do the removal. Good luck and best wishes.

Stitches after LAVH?

I had no "nether" external stitches and the only sitting problem - and not much of one - was from bruising. You'll probably feel more like reclining for quite a few days post-op from "swelly-belly" - left-overs from the gas they pump you up with to see better for the "lap" part of the surgery, plus all the internal organs feel swollen from being manipulated during the surgery. As you'll read in many of the post-op threads, there are many ways of dealing with the many post-op challenges, but I would say IMHO and from my experience that nothing was insurmountable.

Best of luck for a succesful surgery and smooth recovery.

Stitches after LAVH?

Hi. The stitches are up inside, not at all like episiotomy. You will be sore and have a hard time sitting up for about 3 weeks (although it varies from woman to woman) and then you'll be okay. Just make sure they take out the packing!! That hurts when you sit!!

Good luck, enjoy the holidays!!

Stitches after LAVH?

Hello I had the same surgey you are going to have. Stiches are high up internaly so sitting was not a problem. Nothing like what I had with episiotomy. Sitting was uncomfortable for the first few days because of swelling for me. I hope you do well just rest as much as you can the first few days and remember to drink lots of water. Good luck Robin

Stitches after LAVH?

Hi!
I had LAVH on Dec. 6th and I have stitches in my belly button, bikini line, and one on my lower left pelvic area.
Sitting was uncomfortable for the first 5 days for me, just felt like a lot of pressure on my bottom(no pain in private area).
Wishing you all the Best,
Laurie

Stitches after LAVH?

Thank you all. It helps a lot knowing what to expect. I'm thrilled to hear it won't be like the episiotomy! 6 days and counting!

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday!
