waiting for the big day

I'm 35 years old. Last year I found out that I have endormetoises, in five different areas. I wasn't ready to go through with it yet. So I did some research and It is sheduled for this March. I'm sometimes scared not about the hospital. It's when I get home and all the hormone things. I have heard that if you are not on any pills it hard on your heart. That scars me I just lost my mom from a heart attack. My husband is really supportive, I think he's ready to get it done with so I can stop being in so much pain.

melissaol,

You have plenty of time to research and be comfortable with what you decide to do. Have you tried any alternative treatments for endometriosis? Here is a link to some information you may want to read: Endometriosis Article. We also have a lot of information regarding HRT. Here is a link to HRT and Heart Disease which you also may be interested in.

I hope you take some time and research as much as you can so you can make the best decisions for you.

S,
Kay

Thank you for replying. I have tryed other treatments but they didn't change anything. The pain is getting bad, and I'm just tired of being in pain all the time.

Hi melissaol!
I'm very sorry about your Mom.
I understand your fears about coming home, I had the same fears. I wasn't nervous about the actual surgery either.
I had endo as well and had tried other treatments and this was my last choice. I chose to keep my ovaries because I only had problems with one and my Dr. did some "clean up" on it during surgery. Hope this helped a little!

All the Best,
Laurie
