anyone have abcesses on teeth due to their female troubles?

me again! Three sleepless nights, feeling giddy Its better then being a raging witch I guess. I woke this morning with abcesses on my gums. A friend recently had one ovary removed due to large cyst/tumor,(grapefruit size, and apple size one off of other ovary. Doc said he'd only seen these type of abcesses on her gums in pregnant women!! The cyst/tumor she had removed containe teeth, hair, tissue and bone. Really creeping me out thinking they could find that in me, but I know its common.
Any ideas if this is normal with adeno/fibroids/endo/cysts? Waiting for doc to call, but very impatient.

I didn't have adeno so I can't share experiences with you. But, I wanted to say that I think that you should call and tell your dr about the abcesses on your gums. He/she may want to do something to clear that up pre op.

I had severe adeno, but didn't have any absesses on my gums. That doesn't mean however, that it isn't affected by your hormones. Seeing a dentist would be a good idea so you can get some treatment for it.

This isn't related to the female problems I have (that I know of at least) but a couple of years ago, my gums were fine one day and red and inflamed and blistered looking the next. I saw my internist, he was convinced that it was a dental problem. I was sick for about a week, took an antibiotic for what seemed to be strep throat. I saw the dentist about two weeks after the whole ordeal...he said that it is possible to have strep affect your gums. He said at one point in dental school, he was very worn out and stressed out, and ended up with a strep infection that made his gums a sore mess.

So...I would definitely check with your doctor or dentist (or both) to find out what it is for sure!
