when your own date finally gets set.............BAM the worries and doubts start. My ultrasound was just yesterday, but the hysterectomy was recommended years ago so I should have 'processed' enough right? I pushed for the soonest avilable date (jan.3) to accomadate a trip to Hawaii later on, and to avoid spending months as a lady in waiting....sounded good yesterday, but this morning I'm freaking out.

Hello- My hyster is Jan 3 also- its like being on a roller coaster in emotions isn't it? I went today for my pre op stuff. Now its get the holidays over with and on with the....... pain. I am having a TAH with everything removed. My sister died at the age of 48 of cancer in her uterous. I am afraid that they will find cancer also. I have quite a large fibroid and several small ones that cause quite a bit of cramping pain and excessive bleeding. Just keep thinking Hawaii, that will get you through! best of luck!

Just think of how much better you will feel afterwards, and can enjoy Hawaii even more, knowing you won't have a period while you are there!!!!
Best wishes,
