I'm home! I had my hyster Wednesday around 12:30. And got released from the castle yesterday around 3:00 pm. I think surgery got done around 3:00 on Wednesday and 24 hours later on my way home. Everything went great. I didn't like the shot they gave me for pain. It was in my spine and lasts 24 hours. Only it made me itch badly from the inside out and could only give me a shot of benadryl every so many hours (not near often enough.) Well, I just took a shower and wanted to let everyone know I made it. I'm going to rest now. I post more later. Everyone have a merry christmas.

Glad you're home!

Now, do as you've been told by the nurse/doc in regards to your road to recovery!! Also, take note of suggestions on this site. They can be very beneficial. Just read where one gal slipped and fell in her shower. As an added suggestion, if you haven't already, get one of those non-slip mats for your shower/tub!

There will be good days and bad. Days you'll feel like you're going totally insane with boredom and wish you were back at work. No matter the temptation, follow your doctor's orders. You will only get one chance to heal properly from this surgery - take it!

Good luck and a big to you.
