Nervousness is starting

I didn't have a bowel prep either.

Good luck on your surgeries!

No bowel prep for me either. Only had to do that for my colonoscopy, and for my colon surgery on Wednesday (starts tomorrow, yippee!!). Pass the anti-red and anti-purple jello and popsicles (hey, those are the only ones I like!!!). I'll be living off Mountain Dew tomorrow.

No bowel prep here either. However...I have had 4 colonoscopies this year & inflammed hemmoroids. There is a product called "nupercain" this stuff is a must! It numbs the hemmoroids and there is NO pain felt. Mine were so bad they were bleeding. Each bathroom trip I would clean area with baby wipes & apply the Nupercain, I believe it was the only way I'd have gotten though it. The waiting is the worst part of this & the boredom afterwards Good luck & best wishes for a successful surgery ..God's Speed on recovery!

Nervousness is starting

My surgery is Wednesday 28th and I am having to take 2 bottles of the Mag Citrate. I am not looking forward to that, but I guess it will get off all the Christmas eating.
I feel preped for the surgery after reading all of the posts. Hope things go well for you Tuesday.

Deb,

You'll probably lose some weight while you're in the hospital. I found that I lost my appetite for a few days while in there. Plus, I wasn't much tempted by the chicken or mushroom broth. But I didn't find out until Day 3 that I could drink coffee. I don't drink coffee anymore, but remembered that coffee stirs my bowels. They'll want to hear bowel sounds before they release you. So I'd ask for coffee or tea as soon as you can drink, and walk. That'll get things moving.
