Bath ?!?!

I was told yesterday by my doctor that next week [2 weeks post-op] if my incision looks good, I can take a tub bath to soak and loosen the steri-strips to remove them.

Bath ?!?!

Well, I had a TVH -- so no incision -- what did you have? My doctor told me I could have a bath at day 1!!!!! (His theory is that people will do as well as they expect to do. But, I'm a psychologist, and I *know* that "mind over matter" only goes so far! Infections aren't just about attitude!!!)

I decided to wait till I was a week healed first. I've had a bath about every other day, and it's wonderful. If your doc says week 3 is okay, I'd say, try it! Unless, you're scared, like I was, and then -- I'd say, wait till you feel ready.

Bath ?!?!

Dr and hospital staff all told me I could bath at 4 weeks. I would have loved to have had a quick drip before that though!
Enjoy
