estimating time off work
I had my LAVH-BSO at age 46. There is no way I would have even considered going back to work part-time and on light duty. I am a firm believer in taking all the time I need to heal completely. Remember you have just one opportunity to heal.
At 2 weeks I had just been permitted to drive, but when I did, I didn't go very far or stay gone very long.
Although I cannot speak for my gyn, his nurse indicated that the "minimum" time-off for any hyst he performs is 4 weeks--and that is if there are no repairs performed during the hyst.
I hope you will at least tell your boss that you may "try" to return on a part-time basis, and if that is too much, that you may have to be off from work longer.
Good luck to you!
