How can you be?

Hey all I was just looking through some of your images in the photo gallery. I just have this to say. They say you are supposed to feel like less of a woman. There for be less attractive after have a hysterectamy. Then why as a look at some of your faces am I shocked. You are all women of different ages, races, sizes, and styles. Yet you are all extremely beautiful. Down right HOT. I myself have always been very attractive. I will admit that there was a spot in my head beginning to believing buy into those words told to me. Now after seeing all of your extremely lovily faces. I have some of that confidence again. Thank you all. I am not ashamed to admit I did need your kind and funny words in here. Most off all thank you all for those great images to show how you really look. You are all beautiful and I can not wait to look some more. One day I will post my photo to. Once again.
Thank you

How can you be?

I understand your concern, I had some too. I had my hyst over 3 years ago and still feel like a woman. My DH still likes me too

I think that we are heart and soul, not body parts.

Best wishes to you

How can you be?

I honestly feel like more womanly after my TAH. It is nice to not have that period smell and always feel fresh, to have sex whenever, without feeling like maybe I need a shower to freshen up. I posted a picture of me a couple weeks after my hyster and I was wearing a pair of crappy overalls and looking pretty tired, but my dh still thought I was beautiful . Never listen to anything like that again, your uterus is not the only thing that makes you a woman. You will always be a beautiful woman and I can't wait to see your pictures one day.
Good luck with your surgery!

How can you be?

I believe beauty is what you make it!!!!! I don't think I am ugly, but I am not georgious either, but as long as my dh is happy, then I could care less what others think!!!!!
Best wishes to you, and I think you will be even more beautiful than you are now, because you will be pain free and happy to add to the beauty, and when you feel good, you look better!!!!!!!!

How can you be?

I think the biggest "asset" someone has to their appearance is their "smile"! I'm happy to say, I've found mine again! I was so sick of hearing "hey, you're a pretty girl, but smile!" Or, "I know you're smiling inside"! Truth was, I did NOT feel good, and it showed! Well, I FEEL GOOD NOW, and THAT is showing too!
Good luck!

How can you be?

I am overweight, but never concidered my self to be totally unattractive. My uterus and its attachments have nothing to do with ME! I think once these disease infested parts are removed, the real me will shine brightly because I will smile even more, and not be an angry emotional mess!! And I will not let menopause stop me from losing the weight I'm fighting with, I think it will encourage me to be healthier, and no pain will get me up and moving again!!

How can you be?

Thank you, I agree there are beautiful women in the photo galleries. I have good genes in the family that's why I look younger than my 46 yrs.
I'm glad I had the surgery feeling more like the woman I should be.

How can you be?

I agree with some of the other Sisters, not having a period and that whole icky period feeling has made me feel MUCH better-that and not having the pain I had before my hyst, too. I will admit, I've had some weight gain since my BSO, but hey, I've finally GOT BOOBS! I've also got a shape and a booty I never had before, which I LOVE! I was a size 3 for years, and let me tell ya', at 5'10", looking back now, I looked SICK! I don't know why in the world I thought I looked good back then! I am so happy with my looks now-and my husband tells me everyday how beautiful I am! I have never considered myself or anyone else less of a woman for having a hyst.-I consider us all very strong, beautiful women, inside and out. We look forward to seeing your photos posted with ours, too, Sister...and I bet you'll have a shiny new smile, too!!!

How can you be?

Oh... I feel so much more beautiful and womanly than I did before my surgery. I dont hurt, I am not in pain... and I am enjoying life! It is like everything is an option for me now (I am not chained to a painful malfunctioning body) and it shows. It shows in my attitude, my outlook, and even the way I dress. I LOVE the intimacy with my DH and that shows too. Yes... I do smile a lot more now than I used to... and when people who haven't seen me in a while do a double take it makes me smile even more. Life is GREAT! Sweetie... I cant wait to see your picture after your surgery and seeing how beautiful you are too!
