Will I need bigger undies?

Get some inexpensive cotton ones. I found some at Sam's, which have served me well. I can't wait to throw these away - with all their stains!

Hehe, I may have to agree with you there! I haven't had my hyst. yet but after my c-section bikini's were all I wore, just roll them under the belly and you're good to go. I couldn't tolerate any kind of fabric rubbing on the incision *shudders*

Will I need bigger undies?

I had a TVH and wore my same panties and jeans home.

I did not need a bigger size at all. This could be because there is no abdominal incission.

Will I need bigger undies?

Mine was TVH, BSO and have been in the same sized undies and slacks. I did get larger jammies and they have been great.

I have been taking off some weight with the walking. My middle sister calls and checks in with DH about the walking. She is a surgical nurse and has been adamant about the walking.

Talk to your Dr about when they expect you to walk and don't wait for the nurses to get you moving. Have someone there with you for any short trips.

I am not saying the nurses do not do the job, as I said little sister is one, but they may have several patients and can not be everywhere all the time. A friend or relative in the room with you at all times will help you keep track of everything the DR and nurses are telling and giving you.

They will be there for the trips to the bathroom, your first little walks, and around the ward. Make sure you have a robe or something to slip into as your neighbors will have visitors, too. Have a good trip to the castle!

Will I need bigger undies?

I had LAVH and did get (and have) a swollen tummy. However, my normal bikini brief style panties sitting low have been fine. I wore my tracksuit bottoms non stop for weeks though!!! I can wear my jeans now but undo the zip quite often especially sitting upright like now LOL.

Will I need bigger undies?

With my TVH I was able to wear my same underwear. I did have some swelling the first 6 weeks or so....my jeans were too tight. I wore comfy, loose fitting pants during that phase.

Will I need bigger undies?

I found something, and they are actually cute!!!! I went to Walmart last night, got all the goodies, gas x, and the like, but I found cotton womans boxers!!!!! I bought them a couple sizes to big and they fit well.......I am about 40 pounds overweight, but when I put them on, they really looked kinda cute!!!! They cover up my fat puckies that I have!!!!!

Hmmm...I think I'll wait and if I get home and need a bigger size I will send DH to get them. LOL. He'd love that...but I wear the bikini kind and they fit when I was pregnant so I bet they will still be ok. Thank you ladies soooooo much!! Ya'll are a godsend!

Will I need bigger undies?

I already have big undies as I am a little fluffy around the middle. I am going to go and buy some nice new cotton undies, It's kind of a pre-op ritual have to have new ones while in the hospital. All the best.
