Preop Friday Surgery Mon.

It is a comfort in knowing that I can think of my sisters here and those like blue heron and life_is_good that will be going thru it on the same day as I. I really had no idea what to expect at the preop. A video would be good. It's only a hour between the doctor pre-op and the hospital pre-op appt. so that's not too long too go through alot at the doctors office.

Looks like I should get some sweat pants that are bigger than what I have now.

Thanks to all the well wishes. I will let you know what the preops are like since they vary so much.

I have become the sweatsuit queen! I'm like a sporty spice girl minus the uterus! Target is having a huge sale on them right now!

My surgery is monday too!!!! I have been having anxiety attacks since last weekend. I went to my pre-op appt monday and the Dr didn't say anything about a liquid diet or cleaning out my bowels. I am going to the hospital on friday I thought just for blood work but now after reading these post I am not so sure. Do they do x-rays and ekg on everyone before surgery? Well GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!!! I just know we will all feel silly for all this worring in the end!!!

Will be looking forward to what happened when you get home from your preop.

I am getting really nervous now.

Just got back from Dr and hosp pre-ops. Everything went well....it's just a little unnerving having to sign all those consent forms. My Dr didn't prescribe a liquid diet...he just said to eat light and consider doing a Fleet enema Sunday. No EKG, just blood work, urinalysis, etc. Not too bad at all. Today happens to be my birthday as well, which was kind of fun because all the nurses and Dr. staff wished me a happy one. ....had lunch with great friends....sweet sister and brother-in-law are making me Shrimp and Grits for dinner.......life is GOOD!

Awww......there is hope to wish for no liquid diet and enema before surgery as Danell and blue heron has experienced. I hope I get just as lucky.
