Hyst with Sarcoidosis? Anyone else?

Greetings, my name is Bonnie, and I'm scheduled for a TAH/BSO on February 15th. I am apprehensive, mostly because I also have Pulmonary Sarcoidosis, which puts me as a surgical risk. I will have to have special steroidal IVs before, during, and after the surgery, as well as go on a higher dose of prednisone during my recovery. I hate this idea because prednisone makes me feel SO hungry ALL the time!

Does anyone else out there have Sarcoid too? Did it make a huge difference in your surgery and recovery? Do the hunger pangs EVER go away??

I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you either. Maybe someone will come along soon that will have something to share with you. In the meantime, I'm glad you joined HysterSisters and I pray that your upcoming hysterectomy goes smoothly and you have a very uneventful recovery.
