Weight Gain for afterwards?

Count me in extrachrome! I walked 4 miles today and have lifted weights the past week. I usually do but I have not been as motivated the past few months. I am hoping the surgery will help with the tiredness. It sould since I will no longer be "bleeding a slow death". O'k that IS a little dramatic. Does anyone get tired before their period? I am just exhausted and I will probably start in about a week. I feel physically ill before, during and after. Oh well, only 2 1/2 weeks to go. I am nervous (been a little grouchy this week, DH and 5 kids agree!) and also excited to get it behind me and be on the road to recovery. Best wishes to everyone. Let's stay in shape!

Weight Gain for afterwards?

Count me in as being worried about weight gain. I am 5'1" and every extra pound seems to show. I do physically demanding work so I have stayed in pretty good shape but I know it will be quite awhile before I can be hanging drywall again (grin) I think it's a great idea if we support each other after we get home from the Castle. I go in on the 12th. What are you planning for meals the last few days ? Tonight I had a broiled pork chop with carrots and mashed potatoes, this will be the last "heavy" meal before Thursday morning for me . I have done 48 juice fasts in the past and you really do feel great afterwards, this is fresh squeezed juice, grapefruit and oranges. My plan tomorrow is to eat light. Soups and salads and then onto the fast. I am hoping this will help fight off constipation that I have been reading about.

Weight Gain for afterwards?

String Bean -I have found myself extta edgy too!

Regarding weight gain - I have tried to cut back before surgery - just less to lose afterwards..... I am trying to make this be a catalyst for change. I am also trying to offer this as an opportunity for my family to take up better eating habits. It is so much easier when others are involved.

Let's keep helping eachother on this site! Sometimes it seems like that's all have when others just don't seem to ge it,

Weight Gain for afterwards?

Thanks Pink Princess. I apologized to my family tonight for being so grouchy and promised to follow my DH's advice and "put it in God's hands and live what you preach about not worrying". So...here is to the new me. I just have felt overwhelmed with trying to get taxes done early (we own a business), house cleaned, kids situated, birthday party, family renunion, etc. My new attitude is it will get done if it is that important!
Anyway, here's to eating healthy and exercising. You can't do one without the other if you want good, lasting results. We can all do this together and be sucessful. What a great way to start the new year!
Please keep me posted and let me know how you are....surgery, recovery, etc. You all are in my thougths and prayers!

Weight Gain for afterwards?

Hi there all,
I've put on loads of weight since this all started(Big fibroid diagnised, and three months of hormone treatment to shrink it prior to op). I hate it. I've always been slim, and I think that a lot of this is due to me feeling sorry for myself and allowing myself to eat whatever I wanted. However, New Year etc. so I'm going to use the op as a weight loss starter and hopefully lose a stone during my recouperation period.
Good luck to everyone being 'done' this week.

Please count me in as one of the "nervous to put on the really don't need any " extra lbs. I too have just been un motivated to exercise. I love the new yoga start but I am just beginning that. It does make you much more calm. Well, let's stay alive on the board to try and keep everyone motivated. I send all the best to every nervous princess here.
